Tension prevailed at Saligramam in Chennai on Tuesday morning after unidentified persons threw stones at a house owned by Vijay, where the actor’s Makkal Iyakkam is functioning, Monday late night.

Music composer Vijay Antony is residing at one part of the house. Though the reason behind the attack is not known, it is believed that Vijay’s political affinity could have made miscreants to target his property.

Nobody was injured in the attack however, which took place just minutes after Vijay Antony returned home from work. A special team of the Virugambakkam police is investigating.

It is to be noted that Vijay’s Makkal Iyakkam declared its support to the main opposition AIADMK during the recently concluded Assembly polls. In an interview, the actor came down heavily on the ruling DMK.
